STONE GUARD ACQUA
APPLICATION SURFACE:Natural stones such as granites quartzites quartz translucent stones and exotic materials. Indicated for application on low porous and compact natural stone surfaces.
Stone Guard Acqua is a water repellent sealer developed to maximize protection against staining by water absorption on dense and compact natural stones or for stone surfaces with polished finish. Its high-performance formula has nano-molecules that penetrate into the stone pores and encapsulate the mineral grains, thereby forming a permanent, invisible and breathable chemical protection barrier.
PROPERTIES:
Water repellent sealer for protection against stains caused by water absorption on natural stone surfaces. Ideal for protection of environments in contact with water, such as: Washbasins, garden and swimming pool areas, facades, floors and external walls. It penetrates into the stone pores, forming an invisible and irreversible protection barrier, without forming film. Prevents efflorescence and does not yellow under UV light. Prevents fungi and mosses growth. Facilitates cleaning and maintenance of waterproofed areas. Residential and industrial use, for indoor and outdoor environments.
USAGE
TEST THE PRODUCT ON A SMALL AREA BEFORE TOTAL APPLICATION. The product does not change the stone's natural color, but a previous test must be carried out to analyze the desired results. The water repellent protection starts 24 hours after the last application, reaching its full performance after 7 days (final cure).
Do not heat the surface before application. The slab surface or stone part to be waterproofed must be clean, dry, free of dust and other contaminating products or agents before application. The surface temperature must be between 10ºC and 35ºC (50ºF and 95 ºF) for product application.
Shake gently before applying. Ready-to-use product, no dilution required.
Using a clean microfiber cloth, foam mop, short-haired wool roller or a hand-held sprayer, apply a layer of the product evenly over the surface of the stone. A wet appearance can be seen on the surface within the first minute of applying the product and it will soon be absorbed.
For high absorption stone types, it may be necessary to apply a second coat of the product. The application of a second coat may cause color changes on the surface, requiring a preliminary test.
After the last coat, wait 30 minutes or before the surface dries completely and remove the excess with a paper towel. Finish by polishing the surface with a cotton cloth or wool bonnet to give a better finishing

EFFICIENCY
For dense and compact stones, stones with low porosity or surfaces with polished finish: Between 15 to 30 ml/m² for each coat of product.
The numbers may vary depending on the porosity of the stone, the surface finish and the application technique used.
